Trust turned into lust

I saw you as friend nothing more nothing less
you saw me as a pastime and that had me stressed
I gave you all of my trust
yet somehow u confused it with lust
You looked me straight in the eyes and went in for a kiss
As your lips touched mine I felt in eternal bliss
We surpassed the friendship we had
I knew it wasn't right but I was glad
My heart was falling for you without a hesitation
It wasn't hard to tell, you had all of my affection
My feelings couldn't be held any longer
My heart took over my will, as it became stronger
"You know, I have no idea where I stand"
I declared my love to you, with my heart in hand
You looked at me and smiled, I felt such a relieve
You felt the same way, it wasn't difficult to perceive
It became an open relationship but you had no clue
I had eyes for not one single person, if it wast you
I showered you with gifts and all I could give
At that moment in time you were for whom I lived
but not very much time passed
till an end came, to what I called us.
"I am afraid to fall deeply in love with you,
no one has ever loved me the way you do"
Your words were confusing yet so crystal clear
Loving me was your biggest fear
The loss made me shed endless tears
For at least three years
theres nothing between us I regret
and theres nothing ill ever forget
you will always be a wonderful memory of my past
the friendship that turned into lust and was lost
