Castle of the Dark-Goddess of the Darkside

by DustInTheWind   Oct 10, 2007

I see a silhouette
Of a fair maiden
One who I haven't met
With snow was the ground laden

She lifted the white flakes
Into her hand
Then she raised the stakes
And said, "Take a stand"

So I stood up
With my face so bloody and torn
I took forth a cup
And noticed that both it and I were so worn

I drank that fateful sip
That the goddess had desired for me to take
And then she took a dip
And I was no longer awake

Her curtsy had weakened me even more
And as I lie down with my eyes still open
I knew I was dead-almost-for sure
But yet, inside, nothing was broken

She walked across the bridge
With her dainty-sounding evil
She turned just a smidge
To reveal a building so medieval

She let out a song
Just as beautiful as would a lark
And walked back in, taking so long
To the Castle of the Dark
