This poem is the very expression of someone longing to change all the pain and torment this world sees. "If only" is a very wishful phrase. And you capture the meaning of it well. "If only war were still a card game."
that is my favorite line out of the whole poem. That's whats causing all these "If only's".....ex: "If only my husband hadn't went to war, my daughter would still have a father." War is a tantalizing thing that the human race has created. If it's the one thing that will destroy us, it's each other. Thank you for this amazing write. You do very well :)
