When you are gone...

by Chemically Corrupted   Oct 11, 2007

The world isn't the same when you are gone
The world doesn't spin when you are gone
The animals don't thrive when you are gone
The plants don't grow when you are gone

The world isn't the same when you are gone
I die inside when you are gone
Little by little the days go bye
And I don't see your face anymore

The picture fades. How did you look?
Was your hair brown, red, or black?
Green, blue, or brown eyes?
Oh my god! These have to be lies!

I know exactly what you look like
Brown hair the thickest I've seen
Brown eyes that you never liked
And a sad face that never seemed to fade

When you are gone I forget who I am
What happened when you never came back?
Will I ever see you again?
Or will you just be a distant memory?

I do love you. I hope you know.
Don't leave. I want you here.
Come back. I need you to.
I have to have you here.
