All those thoughts leave you feeling empty

by Byron   Oct 11, 2007

The cold wind sends a dead shiver down my spine
The concrete grounds get harder over time
My eyes lose sight look far beyond the trees
I watch as they die and the seasons steal the comfort of leaves
I see gaps in the clouds but no sunlight
I feel the coldness of silence and dark nights
I was planning on wishing stars
I was planning on fixing these scars
I was planning on over coming and moving on
I was planning on dreaming but that idea is gone
I will sleep drenched in dead dreams
I will awake in empty sheets
