Matter Of Minutes

by brie kelly wise   Oct 11, 2007

I, I know
I'm not supposed to be here
And I, I know
I was supposed to leave
When winter got here

In a matter of minutes
Like a boy in the summer
Holding hands over fire
Well heck
She told me that I'd better back off
Or I'll face him
Executing all desire

But this world feels light
Enough to blind me inside out
So why did I take my chances
I should have caught the drift
But missed the landing

It's only a matter of minutes
I miss that boy in the summer
Holding hands over a fire
Well heck
She told that I'd better back off
Or I'll face him
Executing all desire
