My First Real Kiss

Please comment on this poem. I know it is long but I would really appreciate it. I will return the favor if possible. Thanks and enjoy!!

All my life I loved him,
But he never seemed to know.
All my life I was afraid,
To ask him on a date.

So I was craving,
To have him by my side.
But I knew,
It would never happen.

Then the prom came,
And I was left home alone.
It was raining outside,
A very beautiful rain.

Then I heard a knock at the door,
It was three very light knocks.
I ran to it and I opened it,
There he stood,
The man of my dreams.

My tears of loneliness,
Slowly faded away.
And my lips could not form,
A single word.

When I looked up at him,
He was smiling so sweetly.
He took my hand,
And kissed it gently.

I blushed so lightly,
He could barely see.
He said, Beautiful,
Will you go to the prom with me?

My head was spinning,
With astonishment.
For I knew my dreams,
Had really come true.

I whispered softly, Yes,
And he took my hand.
He led me out,
To his black Volvo.

He opened the car door for me,
And said, Here you are miss.
I smiled brightly,
Knowing he was all mine.

When we were all settled in,
He turned the music on,
To classic rock.

I hated it a lot,
But right now,
I didn't care.
I could not stop staring,
At his beautiful face.

Then we arrived,
At the school prom.
And we walked in,
Hand in hand.

Everyone stared in amazement,
For they never thought,
He would be with me.

I looked at him with a scared look,
But his eyes told me,
It would be alright.

Right as we stepped on the dance floor,
The slow songs began.
It was a night,
A beautiful dream,
I would never forget.

The warmth and softness of his body,
Made me love him even more.
For I knew that I had found,
The most perfect guy.

We moved to the center of the floor,
And I moved closer to him.
My hands hung around his shoulders,
And both of his hands,
Moved to my hip.

We stood there for some minutes,
Moving swiftly side to side.
He made me laugh,
At the appropriate times.

The way he talked, smiled, laughed,
Made my heart melt.
And made me love him more than anything,
In this world.

While I was taking his beauty in,
I noticed he was looking at me,
Laughing to himself quietly.

I looked at him confused completely,
He said, The way you look when you are,
Completely lost in thought,
Is so funny.

I still did not comprehend.
He sighed,
But not in a bad way.
He said, You focus all,
Your attention on one thing.

You were so lost in thought,
I was a little worried,
That you were not okay.
But then I knew what your thoughts were about,
He whispered, me.

I nodded and I smiled shyly.
Then he said, I do love you,
But I was afraid you didn't love me.
I said, I loved you all my life,
But I was scared you didn't love me.

He whispered, The perfect couple.
Right now I just wanted him to kiss me,
I could not hold it in.
So I said,
Kiss me.

Our lips slowly met,
For the first time ever.
And right away,
The warmth and love,
Of his whole body,
Went though mine.

Our lips moved in a sweet rhythmic way,
They moved as one,
We were kissing roughly yet so gently.

I forgot all my worries,
And I focused on him.
I was ready for more,
So I kissed him more enthusiastic,
Excited to spend all our life together.

He pulled me back for a minute,
And he said, I love you so much,
I answered, Me too.

I pulled him right to me,
And I kissed him.
One of my hands on his cheek,
The other on the back of his head,
Moving little by little with every kiss.

Then the music ended,
And I took a deep breath,
He said, Come with me.
I took his hand,
And he led me outside.

He whispered, Close your eyes,
And I did,
I trusted him that much.
We walked for what seemed like hours,
Then we finally stopped.

He said, Before you open your eyes,
Let me do something.
I had a confused look on my face,
But I kept my eyes closed.

A second later,
His warm lips touched mine gently.
And it was comforting,
In this wet rain.

Our lips moved together for a bit,
Then he stopped and took my hand,
He said, Open.

My breath that I was holding,
Slowly let out.
For in front of me,
This is what I saw.

A small pond,
In the shape of a heart,
Sparkling from the crescent moon.
A tree,
With light red leaves falling down.

And a bench,
Engraved with the words,
I love you.

He said, This will be our special place,
And I thanked him with a kiss.
Then we sat on the bench,
Right under the beautiful tree.

While the rain was falling down,
He said the words again,
I love you.

I moved onto his lap,
And I turned to face him.
Then my lips found his,
Even in the dark.

And his warmth covered my body,
With so much love,
And a great amount of care.

Then I looked up,
And I saw the crescent moon,
Directly above us.

I took a minute,
To take all the beauty in.
And with him there,
It made this place heaven.

My hands held him tighter,
To make sure,
I wouldn't lose him.

So we kissed again,
And with the cool wet rain on us,
It was a perfect night,
It was a dream that came true.

We kept kissing,
Under the stars.
On the rainy night,
I had my first real kiss.

This is a really sweet poem, but i think the idea of different size stanzas is a little confusing lols. Although you used words carfully maybe which was really well done. xxx Alex xxx
