Everything was wrong

When you first met i had a shield to my heart
hoping never to get hurt and never to let anyone inside
when i met you this all changed
i gave you the key that noone has ever held
i gave you everything i had,everything that was with me
you held my hand
and kissed my lips
took me to places i never thought exist
you said the words
you played the role of happily ever after
and i believed that ending could happen
just to walk through the door one day unexpected
and seeing you there not withmy best friend but my cousin
you took the last breathes i had
you took away my heart tied it to a tree and crushed it with a hammer
i thought i could trust you i thought you were the one
it just goes to show you how everything i thought i knew was wrong
