Picking Daisies

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Oct 12, 2007

He said "Dear, Love, I can't
Believe I'm standing by your side
This has truely been the first time
I have ever felt alive

When I am with you
I've got the whole world in my hands
I don't know if you see it
But I'm trying hard to be your man

I find myself picking daisies
Whenever I think of you
Because they take my breath away
With their beauty shining through

I've got hundreds of these miracles
Each one representing a time
I passed that open field
With you on my mind

That's why today, girl,
I'm standing at your door
Holding these flowers in my hand
And hoping that you'll want more

Because I'll stand here forever
Just so I can prove
That for the rest of my life
I want to be picking daisies for you"
