A Wealth of Pain

by The Pessimistic Peabody   Oct 12, 2007

Dear Robin Hood do come like a thief in the night
And rescue me please from my endless plight

Rob from the rich to give to painless poor
Then when you have finished return and get more

I don't bask in these fortunes of pain that you see
So go on swiping these undeserved riches from me

I just get so darn giddy when I see you approaching
But I always pretend that I hate your encroaching

As you pilfer my treasure I act like I'll miss it
I exaggerate my grief, I bow down and I kiss it

But once you're gone with your pain filled treasure sacks
I jump for pure joy and completely relax

Beginning again to wait for the day
That feathered green hat comes riding my way.

It was very unique, but it didn't really make sense to me. though i loved the message behind this piece, it sorta confused me with your words, but it was well written.
