The Fog

As the fog begins
To creep over the ground
And as the street lights
Give off an ominous glow
Through the thick fog
That has formed on the ground
As I walk down this dimly lite road
I begin to realize
How beautiful it is
How perfect it is
How I am it and it is me
We are one in the same
The fog and I
Slowly it moves
Being able to
Appear in an instant
And disappear without a trace
But never letting anyone forget
It was there
Sometimes causing much trouble
In the dead of night
Sometimes causing much beauty
in the glistening light
Sometimes causing much sadness
In the droplets of tears
But never forgetting
That moment in time
In which the fog passed by
