Drifting apart

by true secret emo   Oct 13, 2007

Friends forever thats what we said,
But somewhere along our friendship grew dead.

Neither of us wanted to admit it but deep down in our hearts,
we knew all along we were drifting apart.

I remember the days we used to laugh and play.
But sadly those times seem to fade away.

How I long for those times of laughter and care,
those days when we'd play games like truth or dare.

But sadly Ive learned it can never be,
only a you or a me but never a we.

slowly Ive learned to accept it as fate,
but I know in my heart it will never be the same.
