Mirage

by Nathan Collins   Oct 13, 2007

Falling ever farther into the unknown
My flesh is seared, what's done is done
The arid sands have filled my lungs
Feeling weak, am I the only one?

I will not be forgotten forever
My hopes and dreams will not be crushed
Terrible temptations may come my way
But with Your hope, I shall not sway
Striving on through these harrowing times
I press on through relentless winds
With sand in my eyes, I'm still not blind
I will not be crestfallen by this mirage

Chaos, disorder, and panic have failed
I've regained control of my destiny
Lost and confused, I wandered in darkness
Now the light shines, my mind is free
