Autistic world

by A girl broken until   Oct 13, 2007

He smiles at the world,
looking through everything,
seeing the deeper meaning.

Told he was different,
not right as rain,
he was special, unique, beyond words.

He lived in his own world,
own fantasy of fun,
he was autistic with nothing to be done.

He causes so many tears,
yet silently cries his own,
not knowing his different or out of the ordinary.

The parents stare in wonder,
not knowing whom to blame,
they pray for a miracle yet none ever came.

Some think its contagious,
stay right away,
leading the boy from his dreams.

He watches the others,
hopes to play,
they all have fun in those silly little games.

Others stare in awe,
at this little boy,
who wanders in his mind not knowing where to go.

he will grow up one day,
the path he will follow is still unknown,
maybe just as his body, his mind will have grown.
