Over the Edge

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Oct 13, 2007

Dangling over the edge
Trying hard to hold on
Waiting for you to come back
From wherever you have gone

Broken in brittle pieces
Tender to the touch
It hurts to know I've been hurt
By someone I love so much

Seeing through tear-stained vision
Ripping at the seams
Finally believing that
You won't come back for me

You say that you love me
But I clearly know you don't
You're thinking it'll fix things
But I know that it won't

I'm dangling over the edge
And I'm tired of holding on
You'll be too late if you ever come back
Because you'll find that I'll be gone
