The true love poem

by jabari formally known as jeffrey A.K.A. platinumboy   May 5, 2004

Its just the way
you make me
feel when you
walk into the room

something like
in the spring
when all the
flowers bloom

to the long
weeks that we
we're oh so
far apart

to keep you on
my mind i would
think of the worlds
finest art

from Blue Music
to Blue Monday
maybe even the
Mona Lisa

a day without you is
like a day without air
i tell you this because i care

Ooh… ooh…
remember the time
When we stayed up
late just to watch the stars

And then we
got caught smoking
my granddaddy’s cigars
That was a night I’ll never forget

Remember the summer nights
when we ran around the yard
trying to catch the fire flies

But they were
too fast for
our little eyes

Too fast for our
little eyes
They were

it was then
When I was eight that
I found out my fate

My fate was you
