A Dance with Misery....

A Dance with Misery

I'll never feel the gentle touch
Of your fingers on my face.
I'll never hold you in my arms
And give that caring embrace.

I'll never touch your silky skin
Or place a kiss upon your head.
I'll never sleep another night,
Without you in my bed.

I'll never be able to say I'm sorry
To the full extent it's due.
I'll never be able to forgive myself
For falling in love with you.

I'll never be able to look up
At the stars that are your eyes.
Just sit back, and calmly watch,
My painfully sweet demise.

I'll never feel the warmth of your light
Shining on my withered soul.
I'm no longer a complete self.
Only a piece of a shattered whole.

Great poem! I just noticed one grammar error. You were talking about how you'd never sleep another night with that person with you, but you worded it wrong (or i just missed the pt. lol )

    I'll never sleep another night,
    Without you in my bed

If you meant that they wouldn't sleep with you anymore than it should read

    I'll never sleep another night
    WITH you in my bed.

Because when it's worded the other way, it actually means they WILL be there. Sorry...I know that must sound confusing! I just noticed it and I'm really sorry if I just read it wrong. But please know that I did enjoy your poem. Your flow and rhyme were excellent as was your message!
