Don't Drown

by WaitAutumn   Oct 13, 2007

They boom into your head, loud as thunder
You try, but you can not escape them
Reality fades away, your mind takes control
All lights will turn off, as assigned
An icy certainly spreads through your veins
As you recklessly jerk your head back, you see the moon
Giving off its silver radiant glow, that streams onto your face
Your last vestige of hope succumb to despair
Helpless, you bow to them, knowing it is too late
Air leaks through the pierced hole of terror
Instead, small ribbons of black liquid crawl in
Stuck by the circular movement, evoking the sea in motion
Storm clouds drift across your moon like a veil
They reflect on the surface of the sea like a shadow
It is difficult to separate the obscure fluid from the sky
You are tossed by the angry god of the wind itself
Nothing you can do, to go back
You will drown as I have already, years ago

Never Believed In Forever

I read a few of your poems and i think that so far this one is my favorite BY FAR. i love the you made the setting apear to be so beatuiful and almost romantic. then out of no where the setting changed and it almost seemed as though were seeking some sort of revenge and where REALLY enjoying it. i love the way this is writen and what you were trying to convey by the way your words were used.
