Door Slam Conversation (Collab)

by The Pessimistic Peabody   Oct 13, 2007

Collaboration by Powerless Angel and Andrea Sunny

Oh great
another door slam conversation
anger starts to build
Heart increases palpitation

opened up the door
had to dodge a flying shoe
couldn't evade the bat
now Ive got a black and blue

I try to remain calm
and inquire what I've done
you name mistakes 2 years old
and everything under the sun

Bouncing out of windows
ashtrays tossed in mid air
curtains torn, bracing falls
another late night scare

I know I cannot win this
I grab a pillow from the bed
so you say I'm ignoring you
and slap me in the head

I turn around and face you
I let you speak your peace
I never get a sentence in
Not a word to say the least

Why can't we calm the moment
screaming vulgar profanity
escaping true, inner emotion
leaving a dust bowl if insanity

When at last your finished
You quickly slam the door
another door slam conversation
And I don't know what for.....

**Female recognition for those battered men out there...we feel for ya**

Excellent job! This has to be my fave from you by far! It was filled with all kinds of emotions and they were easy to relate too. I loved the ending because it spoke of such truth. Well done you have just made me favorites *5/5*

Okay. i get this has a deep underlying and serious issue behind the words but...I couldn't help laughing at some points. particularly"Had to dodge a flying shoe" hahaha. that cracks me up. anyway. i loved the concept behind this. great flow and content, amazing imagery and while i found it humoress at times, you both did a wonderful job at looking at the serious side of this. it really made me think. congratulations to you both!!
