Boil the Tears

by The Pessimistic Peabody   Oct 14, 2007

Boil my tears and make them pure
For it is only evil that I cry for
A lust for revenge flows through my veins
Seeking to destroy all it attains

Boil my tears and dilute the salt
That stings the wounds from your assault
Hurting myself is just as wrong
I must endure I must be strong

Boil my tears To hide the pain
That drives heinous thoughts into my brain
Forgive and forget I know I must
but my abused heart I cannot trust

This was a unqiue and interesting read. I loved the beginning of each stanza because it was deep. The sentence "Boil my tears and dilute the salt" was just perfect. Each word held and important meaning. *5/5*

A very strong poem. The image of "boiling tears" to take out the salt (the sting) is a great one.
