Nothing's Wrong

by Mimi   Oct 14, 2007

I know it looks long but it's a fast read, please don't skip it

Tears stream down my face
as if they're in a race.
You ask if I'm okay,
Why I am in dismay.

I reply, nothing's wrong;
everything's just great.
That's why these emotions
are speeding my heart's rate.

I've been deceived and lied to
but, you see, I'm fine.
The agony that I'm going through
is just divine.

My voice won't stop trembling
and my eyes are red,
The hopelessness I'm feeling
makes me wish I was dead.

Everyone I care for
is torn from me or shifty,
but never mind that,
everything's just nifty.

I'm merely on the floor
picking up the life he shattered
so why would you ask me
if anything's the matter?

I'm living in depression
cloaked in a fake facade,
But nothing's wrong with me
if I grin and nod.

I've got brains to get me grades
and the looks to get me guys,
So I can easily put on
A plausible disguise.

You've caught me with my guard down
and seen why I'm so uptight
But promise not to tell a soul
Everything's not alright.

I like it... it reminds me... Do not be deceived... Do not let your guard down so the enemy can steal rob and destroy from your life.

He has Robbed.. and is trying to destroy from me and from another so close it kills my soul....
