Goodbye

I sit by your side,
and hug you tight.
You gave me this life,
and made my tears run dry.
You fought my fears,
for those everylasting years.
You always gave me hugs,
to show that you care.
But I never saw the fear in your eyes,
until this day,
when fear lighted up your face.
Tears run down my face,
and you wipe them away,
and tell me it will be okay.
