Tragedy Untold

by Kayla Kay   Oct 14, 2007

Your blue eyes look at me
They see straight through
Are you afraid to search deeper?
Are you scared I'm stronger then you?

Right before your eyes
I've faded away
I can feel the tension
From the words you want to say

I look at you
Weakness leaks from your pores
I know you want to help me
But you need it more

You fragile-hearted mess
See what you reflect
Just for a second
See the beauty you neglect

Creases in velvet
Consequences of worry
Sacred little lines
They tell the story

Take away this halo
It don't belong
I'm not what you think
And you've known it all along

Your eyes aren't deceiving
So can we stop pretending
It's easier that way
I'm not worth defending

Thin lines of raw flesh
This was no accident
Hurtful reminders
Of times we never spent

Open your eyes
For once lets be honest
Confide in each other
The demons that haunt us

Let your pale oceans
Ebb into my soul
Let the waves wash you over
A tragedy untold.
