How come when you like someone,
they never like you back?

how come when you lose someone,
they're all you think about,

trying to get some1 2 like you is like,
trying to reach the bottom of the sea,
or trying to see the air in the sky above me,

and how come you always end up saying goodbye,
to the one you didn't even want to say,
"see you tomorrow" to yesterday
