Hold On.

by Teria   Oct 15, 2007

Hold On.

Personally it's a plan to kill,
fighting good and evil.
With swords and what-nots
slashing all about.

On second hand,
don't you think it's way too much,
to see it in my eyes -
the depths of society?

Yet, I can't seem to find
the reasons to answers
that were never even asked
by any of mankind.

And, personally I think
the questions never asked
are what we're fighting for
and answers we'll never receive.

Since, the last of the heroes
will end up dead, fighting for our fear-
why hold on? In all honesty . . .
we'll all fall someday with questions
still not asked.

Everything about this piece suits my taste for poetry- It is original, deep and it has good flow and choice of words. Every stanza is so effective, the images just overwhelm my mind. Excellent poem, flawless and amazing from the beginning to the end.

This is so true. A lot of people find themselves asking this. What's the point? We'll all fall anyway? I liked this poem, very descriptive. 5/5

Amazing. This style was different for me and after I first read it, I wasn't sure if I enjoyed it. After another read, I was hooked. The questions you brought up were compelling and the imagery was perfect. Well done *5/5*

    So true!
I'm going to hazzard a guess that the questions you are talking about here are not of the verbal kind.
It's the questions of our humanity/moral code/dignity, that life throws up for us on an almost daily basis.

It's not really my kind of format of poem, I think I've stated that in my other comments...BUT ..
I absolutely love the idea, imagery and concept of this piece.

Very nice work on this one.
