Savior

Someone save this world,
For I fear I can not.
Something needs to be done.
Stop praying to god, I think he forgot.

We're here alone,
Unhappy in our content.
Fearing the afterlife,
We are desperate to repent.

Forgive me father for I have sinned.
I've seen through false belief.
And although I feel placid.
I'm afraid I've caused myself grief.

Life wouldn't be so bad,
If I could come to your kingdom in the sky.
But unfortunately I have sinned.
And it is you that I deny.

It is the religious who detest me,
Tell me I'm destined for hell.
But I've been living in it for some time.
I believe I know it well.

This must be the second the world,
The afterlife for who I was back when.
Because this must be hell,
Maybe I should pray, I don't want to do this again.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the devil.
Strolling along in Time Square.
Preaching the end of time.
And asking for cab fare.

I'm not sorry for my beliefs,
If you're there you should do something quick.
This world is slipping,
It's making me sick.

Give me back my ignorance,
Fill my life with joy.
Hurry while no ones looking.
I'll start a war as a decoy.

Just do something please,
It's getting harder to survive.
Send this world a savior.
Make us feel alive...
