Treasures of the Sun

by Kira   Oct 15, 2007

If I traveled to the sun,
If I flew into the sky,
What luxurious diamonds
Will I likely find?

I will go blind.
Deaf too, perhaps,
If I traveled to the sun
To bring unknown back

Scorching hot heat
Will burn my skin away.
My heart will melt.
My blood will spray.

My lungs will burn.
My brain, combust.
Limbs to be blown off
For a horrid, tempting, lust.

What if I traveled far?
All the way to the sun?
If I brought back something
That was next to none?
