Ashes & Wine

by Beautiful Chaos   Oct 15, 2007

The room is dark,
No sound is heard,
But in her head,
Screams every word.

A glass of wine,
A single spark,
Her mind no longer,
In the dark.

She's come to see,
The time is here,
She must not run,
Or show her fear.

Stand among the flames,
Yes dance,
Shows him nothing,
In her glance.

Voice held steady,
Head held high,
As she tells,
Her love good-bye.

She holds the pain,
Inside her heart,
There is no choice,
They must now part.

No matter how,
It kills her soul,
There's nothing left,
They've lost control.

Choices made,
Bridges burned,
Nothing here,
Can be returned.

Words of hate,
Fists of rage,
Bruises left,
Upon their page.

Years of torture,
Tired of trying,
She must let go,
For both are dying.

One final drink,
From spark to flame,
Neither one,
Will be the same.

It was, once again, wonderful. The flow in this one was spectacular, and I just kept wanting to read more!

Once again, Lol. . . AMAZING.

This one had beautiful emotion and flow. I absolutely loved it. It's like lingering in my mind. Lol. That probably sounds weird, but the words are just. . . wow. Lol.

    Keep it up.
