Samhain

by OHgreenman   Oct 15, 2007

Ancient souls lay departed
Crossing realms yet uncharted
Restless spirits roam the night
Hidden shadows in full sight

Cast circle they're invited
Ways of olde reunited
Timeless energy flows through veins
Heightening scences on both plains

Sharing tales of ancestry
Whispers heard amongst the trees
Midnight heavy with scent of myrrh
As our descendent's start to stir

Showing respects under full moon
Chanting passages all in tune
Spiritually connected to both plains
Witches celebrating, Samhain

Wow... Great poem, I simply love it from the beginning to the end. I wanted to write poem about Samhain, too, but now I'll just envy yours. Imagery that you created through this piece is so captivating and vivid. I can't chose my favorite part of this piece, every line is excellent, so descriptive and original.
