Departure Song

by Ocean Soul   Oct 15, 2007

Death of sun coming along
Broken and cold I go on
In this dying afternoon
Lonely poet longs for the moon

Sad as a waifchild's mourn
My soul walks alone
Born from silence bound to it
My heart empty as can be

I will go down with the sun
In the red-colored horizon
The moon will roam alone
From this night on and on

A cross too heavy to bear
Draining all of my strength
Couldn't live in such despair
May the wind take my last breath!

My beloved is miles afar
He'll never be again in my arms
As tears of sorrow fall from above
May the wind sing him this last song!

I will go down with the sun
In the red-colored horizon
The moon will roam alone
From this night on and on

Wow... Sorrowful piece yet so beautiful... I can relate to this piece. You created great flow here.
    My favorite stanza is:

-I will go down with the sun
    In the red-colored horizon
    The moon will roam alone
From this night on and on-

Excellently written piece, with marvelous descriptions filled with sadness.
