We said best friends forever
we both knew that meant never
because you choose her
and that`s when the problems started to occur.
i was now the tag-along
and knew it wouldn't be long
till i got moved out the way
she found her new best friend that day.
a few weeks later,
she would come crawling back
as it was love, care and accompany she needed.
the new girls was loud and wanted the final say
she was very bossy and wanted everything her own way.
i was not jealous, hurt or upset
it was just i saw her as a threat
i knew she despised me and disliked my hair
but i wanted my best friend back so i really could not`t care.
my feelings of their new friendship i did not hide
i told the girl we`d take it outside.
she called it bullying, i called it talk.
once the deed was done, on she walked.
i have found new friends,
but it`s not the same.
I can`t look her in the eye
For that fearful smile
Makes me feel so ashamed.
