My Philosophical Biography

by Destinie   Oct 15, 2007

I pour my heart into this book
I might let you peek and take a look
Into the deepest thoughts of me
But you will not always believe
Everything I write is the truth
As if I was in the confession booth
You read and can't understand my pain
Or why my tears fall like torrential rain
You won't understand much of what you read
My book does so its pages I feed
I feed it joy, pain, happiness, and sorrow
Never knowing which one it will be fed tomorrow
It greedily receives whatever I deliver
Its the open hands and I'm the money giver
My tears stain its pages
Tears collected through my life stages
Each tear has its own story to tell
A story based on where it fell
Tears of sadness outnumber tears of joy
Most of the sad ones are from a boy
Thats another story, another time
Thoughts of him mean thoughts of crying on my mind
Each rising of the sun promises a new day
But things won't always go my way
But I control what I write
I can write anything, even make day into night
My heart fuels my words
Just as wings support the birds
But do you even understand?
How these words come together like beats of a band?
Try to comprehend the makings of me
Something as difficult as the meanings of philosophy
Many have tried, few have succeeded
Many have started, few will complete it
Its not an easy task facing the unfamiliar
Once you get a taste you will always remember
The bitter sweet taste of a tainted world
And the confusion of a love stricken girl
Love tore her apart and killed her pride
Before it was attacked, her heart attempted suicide
An attempt it couldn't achieve
Because in love it still believed
My heart let love in, fooled by its illusions
And I let it happen, lost in my own delusions
Sweet words, soothing like lullabies
Its impossible promises hid the lies
This is how I feel, these are my emotions
My life's story, my hopeless devotion
Motivated by purpose, inspired by dreams
Wanting happiness but unsure of what that means
Inevitable, unimaginable, indescribable
Words for the future but the past is unforgettable
Previous pages are my past
But well into the future they will last
Educating others and inspiring some
Telling them that no matter what they can overcome
Overcome lies, disappointment, and heart-break
Move on, there are bigger things at stake
Your life, dreams, and so much more
So spread your wings, don't just fly...SOAR!
