Today

by Bill Turner   Oct 15, 2007

Born into the black abyss
Awash in a sea of disease
Drowning in life's sewage
Blackness eating at me
Refusing to make a plea

Carnivorous
Ravenous
Raucous

Raised in the fires of hell
Tempered in the battles of the street
Sharpened on the prison wall
King Kong cannot hold me down
Refusing to wear a frown

Burning
Yearning
Turning

Wit cutting like a knife
Slashing at societal bounds
Jabbing into the flesh
Stand aside all that oppose
Lest you shall take it on the nose

It has been so long it is so good to see you posting again. This is a very deep and intense piece you have penned.

    Born into the black abyss
Awash in a sea of disease
    Drowning in life's sewage
    Blackness eating at me
    Refusing to make a plea

    These lines really moved me.
    Take care my friend
