Jamie, we miss you

by hersheykiss54672   Oct 15, 2007

The cold lake stares back at me.
"I'm ready," I say, shivering.
Happy boaters, silly little girls on tubes
"Faster, faster!" they shriek, laughing.

August 6, 2007,
We still miss you, Jamie.
Two years ago, this night,
was a night we'd never forget.

It wasn't you're fault -
but I can't help being angry.
You have 2 kids, a wife!
You should have worn the life jacket.

Jamie, I miss you!
Conner is a 5th grader now, he misses you,
Claire's a 2nd grader, trying to keep up,
and Marcie got remarried!

I didn't know you that well,
but you were a great man.
Jamie, Jamie...
You should have been more careful.

Jamie, we miss you!
So, so much!
We will see you in heaven one day.
Jamie...I'm crying now....Jamie, we miss you.....
