Fake It [Trijan Refrain]

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Oct 16, 2007

Whiskey tears drown away sorrow,
Of a broken down heart,
Wishing for a good tomorrow,
She picks his lies apart.
"At least fake it," She slowly sighs,
With tears crawling into her eyes,
..........................."At least fake it,
...........................At least fake it,
Or make up a better disguise."

Whiskey tears drown away sorrow,
Deep into the black night,
As she falls, she tries to borrow,
Grace from the stars so bright.
"At least fake it," She screams aloud,
Using lines for a vacant crowd,
..........................."At least fake it,
...........................At least fake it,
So I can hold my head up proud."

Whiskey tears drown away sorrow,
Of a year too far gone,
There`s always a new tomorrow,
And pain doesn`t last long.
"I won`t fake it anymore, no,
I know I`ve gotta let you go;
...........................I won`t fake it,
...........................I won`t fake it,
`Cuz the love was gone long ago."

["At least fake it," She slowly sighs,] -- You don't need to capitalise the 's' on "she".

I really liked this. It was sad, but well written. The second stanza was my favourite. It just stood out for me more than the others.

    Really well done.
