The Seven Leaf Clover Part IV: The Bump on the Road to Success

by Mr Anonymous   Oct 16, 2007

One year ag-
Never mind, I’m not starting with that opening sentence again…

So I got off the plane,
And looked at the map,
And what did my wondering eyes see?
That I still had thirty four miles till the end of the journey!

So this is it; the big bump on the road
I can’t get past it, I lost control
My hands slipped off the steering wheel,
So that’s that, I can’t restart
I have no means of transportation,
No money for a cab
I’m scared to go and hitchhike
Because I’ve had…horrible… horrible experiences
Not just with the guy behind the wheel,
But with the guy’s friends as well… scary…

So what can I do?
I’m pretty much scr*wed!
How do I get back?
Where can I sleep?
Where can I eat?
What am I going to do, just wait and die?
Hell no! I think I’m just going to cry…
So I’ve just been waiting…
Watching life passing bye,
I waved, just to say hi
Even though I know I’ll never see that guy again

So, this is how the journey ends;
Sitting in the ground
I’m a waste of 130 pounds

So all hope is lost,
I won’t achieve victory…
I’m not going to win,
I’m not going to ever go over that bump
Or see any of my friends or family, again
(Come to think of it, I never actually did have a plan to come back after I got the sword anyways... Wow, I SHOULD just stay here and rot...)
