A Great Love

by Johnnys Medicine   Oct 16, 2007

I look across the vast lands of life
I remember every memory
Every moment when I was lost
Lost and blind to what I could really see.

All of that has passed and moved on
Like the change in the summer breeze
And like a bird floating upon that gust of wind
Did she come to me.

Her eyes as blue as the sky that encircles my world
Sparkle like the reflection of light upon a vast sea
Going on and on to the ends of the earth
With love drifting up to me like driftwood, showing what life could be.

Her cheek as soft as the waves splashing on my hand
Bringing with it a smile that makes me happy
Setting off with a wave of laughter
Making my soul free.

Her hair as golden as the first sunrise ever seen
Waveing about with much grace and beauty
As soft as if it were made of air
Sending the quiet beating sound from our hearts with much ecstasy.
