March On

by Beautiful Chaos   Oct 16, 2007

Life is going nowhere,
Laughter, getting short,
You reach for something, anything,
It is your last resort.

So many years you've wasted,
So many tears you've cried,
Now you must be freed,
From all you loved that died.

Look inside your mind,
Where reason tends to hide,
brushing off the cobwebs,
Stand and fill with pride.

You've made it through the storm,
Though once you wished for death,
Now life must be your focus,
You must stop and take a breath.

Remember all you felt,
When passion filled your soul,
For you only need yourself,
If you wish to remain whole.

Not all is forever,
No matter how you pray,
You must march on through the madness,
When insanity gives way.

Pain is a necessity,
Good and bad collide,
Teaching all that we must learn,
To strengthen us inside.

"Laughter, getting short" << No need for a comma, darling.

There is a comma because I pause after laughter when reading it.

I prefer you "Remember all you felt" If I were saying it to someone wholly I would not say "Don't you remember all you've felt?"

You've did not feel right, but it is all in the reader, thanks none the less.

"Laughter, getting short" << No need for a comma, darling.

"From all you loved. . . " << you've would sound better, I believe. But, you does work just fine.

"Remember all you felt" << Once again, you've would sound better.

It's a great poem, with wonderful meaning. I love it, darling. There were a few things that I thought needed working on, but overall it was good. (:

    Keep it up.
