Before You Leave

by Sensual Butterfly   Oct 16, 2007

Before You Leave
Lying in the driveway
Between two cars.
Talking about tomorrow
And looking at the stars.

Take a little time
You'll be leaving in a while.
Tell another story
Run another mile.

Always seeing each other
All year long.
Couldn't win for losing
Our love was too strong.

Far across the ocean
Where the nights are cold and dark.
Before you leave this time
Let others know you've left your mark.

Running through the meadows
Hand in hand you and I.
Living for the present
And staring at the sky.

Not always thinking of the future
Or promising words to break.
But I want you to know
Love to you, I'll always make.
