Eye for an Eye

by Beyond Repair   Oct 16, 2007

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Why we doing this when we both loose
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Wouldn't it be easier to tell the truth

You spread your lies and your filth
Smell what your shoveling its not the truth
You cant take back the things you said
For now on your considered dead

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Why we doing this when we both loose
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Wouldn't it be easier to tell the truth

An eye for an Eye, that's when you took mine
A tooth for a tooth, that's when I took it from you
When does this end, how did we do this again
We don't have to be friends but lets just pretend
Like we have some dignity have some self respect
I know these words probably go right over your head

But you took my eye so I took yours back
I stole your tooth and we began to attack
So can we call a cease fire and get some help
Because this is the most emotion I've ever felt

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Why we doing this when we both loose
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Wouldn't it be easier to tell the truth

You started this and we are both stubborn
You think by now we both would have learned
That we would both see this to the end
Hell or high water nothing we wouldn't defend
You and I both know how to hold a grudge
But sooner or later enough is enough

Wow, this is really raw, full of strong emotions, it flows really well, and again reads like it should be a song... i can imagine the events behind this poem if that makes sense!

Aww, really interesting. Flowed really greatly and nice wording. Though I didn't get what this poem is about - a competition between 2 person who is better/has better thingys or just a fight or something 3rd? :)
    Amazing work on this! 5/5
    Keep up!
