Mistake

You cared for me when i was there
You made me feel at home
You looked after me when i was down
I never felt alone

You stood there right beside me
You showed the way to go
You were always there to lend a hand
and this, i'll always know

Now I'm home i wonder round
and realise you're not here
I wonder round and look above,
and wish that you were near

I don't know why I chose him
You were the one for me
Why was i such a fool
Why couldnt i just see

At the time I didn't realise
He was nothing compared to you
You were the one, you were the best
But this I never knew

The mistake i made was follow my head
The mistake that keeps up apart
But from this mistake a lesson is learnt,
to always follow the heart

So now I'll have to live,
with just the memory of our song
But most of all I'll have to live,
with the thought that i was wrong
