The Game

by Marius Laun   Oct 16, 2007

The game has begun
The rules are lain,
Only one to remember
Rule one: My Pain

This horrible game
is the game of my life,
Where pain rules all
with tumult and strife.

The game is played
as long as it takes
Until a decision
Somebody makes

But before the decision,
awareness comes first
If it takes to long,
My soul may burst.

So let us continue
This game of my life
Where the pain rules all
With tumult and strife.

I love this one. the metaphor of game is really strong and powerful. probably you wrote about feeling like a pawn in chess:

    "Untill a decision
    Somebody makes..."

yay life sometimes seems to be like a game

    and btw the repetition of

    "where pain rules all
    with tumult and strife"

is a nice idea, makes the poem complete

    5/5
    keep up good work)))

Aww loved the idea. Whole poem had a sad tone do it, and I really liked that. Easy to read and thanks to that easyer to connect with the poem. And it flowed just perfect.
    Amazing job on this one!
    5/5 Keep up!
