Liberate Yourself

by Cez   Oct 17, 2007

Hold on to the last straw of your sanity
You are almost over the worst
So why bother to think of the what might have beens?
Why bother to reminisce the good old days?
They are bittersweet memories that are better left forgotten.

Why wish for another chance, knowing fully well that you will just end up in tears again
If you stay a little longer and listen to your heart, will it make any difference?

Sometimes being in love is just plain stupid
One tends to be blinded by the faults of the other
But at a certain point in your life, even in the middle of your insecurities and your fears
You have to learn to assert yourself.

Stop in your tracks and listen to the rational voice in your head
Enough of the struggle to hold on
Enough of the tears, enough of the make believe
It's about time that you see the real world through new eyes
Once you have reconciled with yourself with this realization
You will eventually come to terms with the fact that it is not worth your effort to cling on to your horses.

Acceptance and letting go will give you a sense of peace and freedom.
