A seed of hope in my heart

by Elapsed   Oct 17, 2007

A chilling wind blows over me,
out of the darkness a hand reaches forth.

Try as I may to make sense of the scenery around me.
Its hopeless, I'm lost.

The darkness is smoldering all consuming,
It's hard to take a breath.. suffocating.

The hand is getting closer,
open and outstretched..

It's trying to grasp for something.
I peer out to catch a glimpse of the owner.

There's nothing there,
just darkness, overshadowing all.

The hand stops inches away,
Hovering above my heart.

With a slight jerk and a bit of pain,
feeling around, searching every corner of my heart.

It pulses, the pain grows more intense,
With a sharp twist the pain stops.

Like the pain that had once been berried deep,
the hand is gone without a trace, or so it seems

Looks down at the place where the hand had penetrated,
to my amazement there's a small light at the bottom of my heart.

Instantly I come to realize what has just transpired,
the hand of god has planted a seed of hope in my heart.

Amazingly done as always Sam :) Very good, full of pain and hurt but with a chance for hope...I loved it and understand the fear and pain that go with that but it's well worth it ^_^ I've really missed reading these :) Another 5/5 like all yours have always deserved ^_^

I loved this write, you think that it will end in despair, but the ending was awesome. I believe it would have fit better under the inspirational category though. Yet, it may serve it's purpose right where it is.
