Alone

Alone in this world of shadows and pain.
Hidden by clouds, drowning in the rain.
Icy darkness freezes my tears.
Breathless screams fill my ears.
Unheard words escape my lips.
Ink black words leave my finger tips.
Endless shadows eat at my heart.
So many stories, nowhere to start.
No one who will listen to me cry.
No one to support me when I try.
Nightmares haunt my restless sleep.
With no way out now, I'm in way too deep.
One mistake followed by another.
After living this life, I know no other.
Sighs gone unnoticed in cryptic gloom.
Here I will die, alone and all too soon.
