The Promenade

by Kenny   Oct 17, 2007

It was our promenade
The venue was so scenic
Ready for a short parade
Tired of standing so static

I saw you in a distant
Gaze your face so pretty
Catch your smile, I really want
Even I know less of your identity

It was our promenade
The warmth were igniting the night
Your presence still did not fade
To dance with you I wish I might

I saw you in a distant
Having a deep sweet embrace
You were treated like a fragile infant
By a man am willing to race

Entangled by his broad hands
Heads close to each other
I remain unsteady from where I stand
It seems you'll leave him never

It was our promenade
Which I only did was to stare
Even moments starts to fade
For a dance I longed for us to share

I saw you in a distant
Really craving for a short romance
That was the night I was never constant
Wishing for us to dance, but you didn't gave me a chance
