Friends no Longer

The first day of our school year
You came to tell me we had a past bond
I remembered our joyful past that was gone

Two we were in our little group
Passing from class to class
We declared a renewed friendship

That we share a friendship of everlasting love

We walked hand in hand in rejoice
Singing loud songs of ghosts of old friendships
We picked up some daisies
To make bracelets, signs of our friendship

The dreaded day came, when a new face appeared
To brake up the bond we so worked on to build
She brewed a greedy fire that gobbled all that existed
It turned my insides to black sooty ashes

From that day I no longer saw you
We no longer hanged out
You wouldn't even give me a glance
To look deep into your non feeling eyes

I felt like a nothing, a zero I was
Our friendships eclipse has just started
This time in the thick darkness it faded
Never again to show its bright sun

Your hearts window closed not to be opened
To me you became a lost cause of old pain
Everytime I spotted you in her arms
Something in my insides pinched me to cry

I caught you alone and asked you so sadly
You denied the friendship you built inside me
You said that she was a better companion than I
Accusing me of things you knew were a big fib

I crushed up our bracelets of friendship and love
For they had been cut from their strong middle side
