Survival

by Butterflye   Oct 17, 2007

I am cold
Until I imagine
Your love,
Enveloping me like a blanket
Keeping me warm
I am listless
But then I hear
Your voice,
Saying my name
Calling out, saving me
I am blind
To all but
Your gaze,
Piercing my soul
Bringing color to its wasteland
I am hungry
For the taste of
Your lips,
Which fill this void
Driving away starvation
I am in love
And all I need is
You,
A fleeting smile
Or single word will suffice.
That's all I need
To survive this 'winter
Of my discontent.'
