Poem For English Class.

by babblingxbrooke   Oct 17, 2007

*indicates vocabulary words I had to use.

Her life was *insipid until he came along,
Towards her I was *compassionate, she began to forget the lyrics to her own song.

They were *exalted at the start; everything seemed to be going great,
But soon his generousity began to *deteriorate.

He became a *pompous jerk; thought he was the best;
Started to talk down on her, control her, & *repress.

His *atrocious ways led her to be a *painstaking girl,
Not wanting to do or say anything wrong; to her he meant the world.

*Invariably this went on; the *proximity began to fade,
He then started to *encumber her, make her dread each day.

A horrible feeling came over her; she felt like dirt,
These *plausible actions started to become clear; no longer did she want to hurt.

The next day she did something she never did before,
Her *unprecedented actions & words led him to walk out the door.

I *lamented for her, for sorrow I could *discern,
But *loathing this jerk, made her learn,

Life is like an ocean; plenty of fish in the sea,
But he wasn't the right catch, they just weren't meant to be.
