Hushed Delight

by Laura Lamarca   Oct 18, 2007

Cool currents caress
pebbles smooth,
to soothe self in
stillness of sight as
delight swims
in shallow depths

to flow down mountain
in flurried fountains of
adoration, through
forest floor
and meadows grand.

Accompaniment,
sweet songs
of morning breath
as birds dip to sway
in ambled array of lark,
on wings of
welcomed touch

and kisses trace
faces in rush
of rivulet and reed.

For I am
the stream
in summer's hush

and you...

the pebbles
we lay our lives upon.
